I used the Web Platform Installer but when the download was complete, there was no option to open in my browser. * I had to move the wordpress files into my root directory. It installed it under My Documents. I tried launching the /wp-admin/install.php file using localhost but it will not load. * I’m not sure what the problem is. I sent you that link because wamp is an all in one server already setup nicely with all programs needed and more to run WordPress. I tried installing again with the Web Platform Installer but when it says that I have successfully installed WordPress there’s no link to open it. It just opens Microsoft WebMatrix, whatever that is! * I can’t figure it out. I don’t know whether it’s IIS or something I’m not installing correctly. * Thanks for the advice on the WAMP. I’ll also try that link for IIS to see if I can get something going.
