Can't get translation of a child theme to work (2 posts)

    Hey guys, I could use some help with this.

    So I got this "hiero" parent theme and created a child theme on it called hiero-child. This hiero theme also got a language .pot file which I openend in PoEdit and translated it inside PoEdit. I saved the .mo and .po files in my /lang folder inside the child theme and referred to it into an emply funtions.php inside the child theme like this:

    <?php
    /**
     * Setup My Child Theme's textdomain.
     *
     * Declare textdomain for this child theme.
     * Translations can be filed in the /languages/ directory.
     */
    function my_child_theme_setup() {
    	load_child_theme_textdomain( 'hiero-child', get_stylesheet_directory() . '/lang' );
    }
    add_action( 'after_setup_theme', 'my_child_theme_setup' );
    ?>

    Furthermore I changed some of the strings marked for translation but for some reason the translation won't show and the original english language words stay.

    Something maybe noteworthy to say is that I already have a Dutch language pack on my wordpress, somehow I need to do it seperately for the theme.

    What can I do? Did i forget something?

    Great thanks!

    As you can see the " Posted on 21 september, 2013 by admin " and "Continue reading" are still in English. They need to be in Dutch.

    I am having the same problem. I cannot translate many parts of this nice theme.

    Expecially the "comment" section which seems to be NOT included in the template...

    Did you solve in any way?

    thanks!
