• Hi,

So been trying to figure out how to get my home page to work with WP touch and it hasn’t been easy. I use Woothemes Canvas 4.6.7/FRAMEWORK 5.5.6. My site is: http://smellslikeinfinitesadness.com/

Initially I was just getting a blank mobile homepage. As a workaround I made the custom url http://smellslikeinfinitesadness.com/tag/featured/. ‘Featured’ is a tag I assign to every post so I figured at least it would show my latest posts. That works, but I still can’t get the slider to function.

I’ve tried every thing I can think of, even selecting ‘show posts from a specific tag’ and using ‘featured.’

Oddly enough if I I press on the ‘search’ button with nothing typed in the field, the slider pulls up. Sure wish I could keep it up there!

Any ideas how to fix? I even tried doing a second ‘home page’ showing latest posts but I still get a blank homepage in mobile, thus the featured workaround.

    Thanks!.

UPDATE: Since I mentioned that when I pressed the search button that the slider descends I made my custom url landing page: http://smellslikeinfinitesadness.com/?s=&submit=Search

Lo and behold the slider works, but it does take a little longer for the home page to load than I’d like given the google page speed score:

So any ideas on how to either fix the speed or just make my native home page work with WP Touch would be most appreciated.

On a side note, you’ll see at the bottom of the speed test I that my mobile user experience on the page speed test went from 100 to 91. This happened before I made the url change.

Is this something to do with the recent WordPress upgrade to 3.9.1? The parts it’s pointing out to change isn’t even viewable. But I do see now that the scrolling is now a bit wobbly as there’s a black border to the side that didn’t use to show up there.

Sorry for the ramble, but just wondering if any of this is related and what a possible fix could be.

    Thanks!
