can't get set_post_thumbnail_size() to work

  • I am having all kinds of problems with the post thumbnail function.
    I have insterted all the code according to this guy:
    http://markjaquith.wordpress.com/2009/12/23/new-in-wordpress-2-9-post-thumbnail-images/

    First issue:
    I don’t get the little “post thumbnail” box like everyone else seems to. Instead, I get the “Featured Image” option. It appears or disappears depending on whether or not I delete the add_theme_support( ‘post-thumbnails’); in the functions.php page. Has post thumbnail been renamed? Perhaps this is a stupid question.

    Second, when I load an image into this “Featured Image” box, it gets resized on totally unknown parameters. I’ve put this into my functions.php page:
    <?php
    add_theme_support( ‘post-thumbnails’ );
    set_post_thumbnail_size( 200, 600 );
    ?>

    But the image is resized to 100 x 67 pixels.

    Does anyone have any ideas? It would be greatly appreciated.

    Try using another theme. Your current theme appears to be over-writing the post-thumbnail options.

    I’m getting the same problem. And using a different theme is not really an option since I’m trying to make my own.

    I have managed to change the size using this on the template page though:
    the_post_thumbnail(array(100,100));

    Box “Post Thumbnail” was renamed to “Featured Image” in version 3.0. So everything is same as in “Post Thumbnail” except name.
