Can't get rid of the "WordPress.com Stats needs attention"

    I had the red bar of “WordPress.com Stats needs attention: please enter an API key or disable the plugin” doom.

    I went to WordPress.com stats, then clicked on the link to put in an API key, got my API key from that link, clicked OK, and was taken to the options page.

    Now, I can access the options, but on my dashboard, that red bar of doom is still there. When I click on the link, there’s no options for updating my API key. What can I do to make this go away?
