Can't get posts or pages to show up on Facebook

    I can’t get posts or pages to show up on Facebook.

    I set up a FB app for Facebook Publish, set the access to “public” so that it can be seen by everyone (ie, not in developer mode), set the web site properly and as well entered an email address as requested. (Note: the target FB page is one where I have admin privileges, not one that I own, if that makes a difference. When I set up the FB app I used the website related to the FB page I administer, but I used my own email as the contact email, and I set up the FB app through my own developer acct). When I entered the two keys FB Publish authorized with no problems or errors.

    In FB Publish I set it to publish both pages and posts, and then chose the FB page that I administer as the target. There are no other auto post type plugins, so I didn’t worry about that setting. And no feature images.

    Next I made a test post, choosing to publish it immediately to FB and making sure that the target FB page was the correct one (the one I administer). I used just the default message body, and chose “none” for “Publish Image”. When I published the post I got a message above the post saying “Facebook Publish:Post published on Facebook”. But I have yet to see anything published on the relevant FB page, and it’s been nearly 24 hrs.

    Could it be that FB won’t allow publishing to pages that you don’t own? I would have thought that I could set it up if I had admin privileges, in fact I seem to remember being able to do that in the past. But perhaps that’s not the problem, so I’d appreciate any feedback or suggestions you might have.

    I really like this plugin, esp the per page and per post controls, so I’m hoping I can get it to work.

    Just installed the plugin on my own site, set up a FB app (made public), and tried to post to my own page (didn’t try posting to timeline). I still get all the results that I described in my previous post, including the message “Facebook Publish:Page published on Facebook”, and still no FB post appears. So that shoots down my theory about possibly not being able to post if I only have admin privileges for a FB page.

    Hi, I’m having the same or similar problem. I need to publish on a facebook page I administer, and it also is a page I created, so the primary admin thing should not be an issue.

    I’ve been trying to get this working for a day now, recreating and checking my fb applications, they are correctly set up.

    When I publish a post on the log, I get the message “published on facebook”, just as Susan above, but nothing appears on the facebook page. When I tick both, publish on the page and publish on my personal profile page, the post does appear on my personal profile page but not on the page I manage.

    For the life of me I can’t get the hang of this, what is going wrong? I have not had this before with this or any other sharing plugin.

    Would much appreciate any help, thanks!

    I didn’t try posting to my own timeline, didn’t want to clutter it up with test posts, but I half suspected that it might work where posting to a page wouldn’t. What made me think that is that I’ve read of other plugins suddenly not working for pages but still working for profiles/timelines. My impression is that this is a recent development brought about by changes made by Facebook, but that’s just a guess.

    At the moment I’m still using RSS Graffiti, but that’s shutting down as of May 1 so I and a lot of other folks need to find an alternative. I’d really like Facebook Publish to work — I like all kinds of things about it, esp having control over publishing rather than dealing with an always auto post arrangement such as RSS Graffiti has. So I hope the current problem can get ironed out.

    I appear to be having same problem. Posts go fine to my own timeline but not to pages of which I am an Admin.
    Everything is authorized correctly in the app and it is made public.

    I also tried several other similar plugins and with the same results. Not sure if this is useful clue or not? I’m keen to get this working for the FB page rather than my own timeline.

    Hello!
    I have exactly same problem. All settings are right, authorized app. Publishing to my own timeline works, but that is useless for me, I need to publish to my page where im Administrator. I select page, it says “published”, but on Page absolutly no activity,nothing, NOT even post hidden, shown for moderators.

    XYZ’s script (Social Media Plugin) just sent to me works fine now … Bravo to them for updating their code.

    FB API’s got updated it appears
