Can’t get past feemium notification

Since version 5.3+ I can’t access the plugins settings or the list of notifications. Instead I’m stuck at a notification window:

“Never miss an important update – opt in to our security & feature updates notifications, and non-sensitive diagnostic tracking with freemius.com. If you skip this, that’s okay! Notification will still work just fine.”

It doesn’t matter if I press skip or allow, it just reloads that window. Pretty annoying…
