Can't get new wordpress to install

    When it’s installing it shows this error

    Could not create directory.: /public_html

    then says the installation failed…I have to idea what this means or how to get past this problem and get the new version installed. Please help

    You need to upload wordpress in public_html and not create one.

    Are you using any tools like Fantastico to install WordPress. If you are installing it manually, it doesn’t require to create public_html folder.
