Can't get new categories to show up on home page

    The categories I created include “Sports” and “The Russian Political Machine” in addition to the default category “Uncategorized”, which I would like to delete BTW. But the biggest problem is that, although the 2 new categories show up in the admin interface, when I go to the main page www dot the russian political machine /blog (remove spaces and change dot to “.” the only thing I can see in “Sections” which is the categories dropdown box is “Uncategorized”. Maybe to get the categories to show up, I have to put something in them like a post? I will try that now and if you think that will work please reply to that effect! I think maybe I will just try that now.

    Categories will only show up once you’ve assigned posts to them.

    I just solved that part of the issue by posting in the categories, so asking the question triggered my brain activity to realize that in a CMS system you need content to see the structure, like I remembered when I was posting the question. So you are right and I am right.
