Hi, I’ve downloaded the plugin today and have been trying to figure out how it works for several hours now. So I give up and post here.

My problem is “simple”, I can’t get the plugin to work at all. I switched to the 2013 base theme and disabled all my plugins (except simple lightbox of course), created a new page to run my tests, inserted images with links to media and I get a very ugly php error at the bottom of the page :

I even quickly created a dummy website with a fresh wp install and a new database, deactivated all plugins, only installed simple lightbox, created a new page, uploaded and inserted pictures in the page, published it and I get the same php error at the bottom of it.

What’s happening here? Can it be because I’m working offline??

  • Found my answer. FYI I had to activate php_curl in wamp. I also checked if my host had it activated in phpmyadmin and it’s also working on the live site.

Yes, cURL is part of a standard PHP installation on virtually all web hosts, but if you are doing a custom installation of PHP, then it will need to be enabled.

    Glad you found the solution.
