Support » Plugin: Remove Uppercase Accents » Can't get it to work

For some reason I can’t get it to work. I am using WordPress 3.6.1 and I tried it with a couple of themes just in case, to no avail. The capital greek letters still show up accented. I use the “text-transform:uppercase” in CSS. :\

It would be wonderful if you could fix it or tell me how to fix it myself. A working plugin like this could be a great help.

    Kind regards,

  • I cannot get it to work eather.
All the uppercased titles of the articles etc remain accented.

    I am using wp 3.6.1

    Thank you!

    Interesting info!
It works inside wp-admin when I am previewing the theme throug /wp-admin/customize.php.

    But not in normal mode.

sorry for the delayed response – I just saw the message.

can you send me a link to your website? I have tested the plugin in 3.6.1 And it was working fine. I don’t know if there is a conflict with some other plugin out some issue with the script enqueuing.

    Hello Giorgo,

Please check this out: it’s an out of the box installation of WordPress 3.7.1. I only set text-transform to “uppercase” everywhere, so you can get an idea of how uppercases look on the page. The theme is “Twenty Twelve” and the only plugin currently active is “Remove Uppercase Accents”.

OK, I ‘ve done a little digging and I suspect that the cause of your problem might be that in your cases the script is loading before the jQuery.

Could you please replace the current remove-uppercase-accents.php file with the one below and and let me know if it fixed the problem?

It worked like a charm, thanks a bunch!

I will update the plugin in order to include the fix.

    Thank you for your feedback!
