-try deactivating ALL plugins (yes, all) temporarily to narrow down the problem. If the problem goes away, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s). If you can’t get into your admin dashboard, try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems (because the hooks remain unless plugins completely removed or some plugins stick around in cached files. So by renaming the folder, you break them and force them inactive).

    thanks for the help

if you are certain about the problem plugin, then deactivate that specific pliging via FTP.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘}’ in /home/content/32/9286432/html/wp-content/themes/toolbox/functions.php on line 162

can someone please help me with this. I am now locked out of my website after trying to correct a problem with my calendar.

I just want to be able to get on my website again. This is more aggravating because apparently word press makes you resolve issues on a forum, instead of having a number to call with tech support.

    have you tried:

-deactivating ALL plugins (yes, all) temporarily to narrow down the problem.

    – If that does not resolve the issue, to rule out any theme-specific issue, try switching to the unedited twenty twelve default theme for a moment using the WP dashboard. If you don’t have access to your admin area, you can switch to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using via FTP or SFTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

I thank you for responding so quickly, but I am new to this and have no idea what you are suggesting. As far as I can see I cannot access my dashboard or anything at all, when I attempt to log in to my website, all I get is that damn error.

What I really need is someone at wordpress to invest in a phone, give me the number, and help me fix this.

Of course you do have the option of engaging a professional to assist you if you feel that this is beyond your capabilities. See http://jobs.wordpress.net/
if you want to follow that option.

That is the case, I simply am not familiar with this, so I am not sure how to follow your instructions. Thank you for your help.
