• I’ve tried to use the gallery shortcode with media_category=”3″ but it doesn’t seem to work correctly.

In the editor, it shows the 2 images I am testing with but when published, the page does not show anything (and it is not in the source code anywhere hidden by something).

Do you know if this is a known issue or otherwise how to work out why it isn’t working? I do not have any other image type plugins apart from an uploader.

Don’t worry about it, it is not an issue with EML.

I’ve disabled the plugin and just can’t get the gallery shortcode to work. You are supposed to be able to display any images attached to another page using id=”123″ but it doesn’t do what I expect. In fact, I have no idea what it’s doing.

Images are posts, attached to pages, which are posts, although none of them appear in the posts list. Whichever id I attempt to use either shows nothing, or only shows a single image.

I still don’t know why it works in the editor as expected but won’t display on the output.

    Hi @lbriner,

Sorry for delay with the response!

EML does not break any of WP default gallery parameters, that is, it should understand id="123". As far as I can understand from your description, all is fine in the post editor, but broken on the front-end.

It is possible in case you have installed a theme or another plugin that is supposed to change gallery’s look. Ligthbox, slideshow, or something similar.

Please deactivate that functionality and try if EML’s gallery shows correct images without it. Then let me know what causes the issue. Thank you.

    Best,
    -Nadia
