When I’m attempting to upload the FileZilla software a sign at the bottom of my computer comes up saying that this software may be dangerous to my system. I have elected to bypass this warning because of having confidence that this is “good” stuff. Everyone recommends using it. Once I’ve uploaded it and it comes up the window shows the FileZilla logo, a menu bar /File/Server/ Edit. In the field below that menu is this > quote “FileZilla Server version 0.9.41 beta
Copyright 2001-2012 by Tim Kosse (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Connecting to server…
Connected, waiting for authentication

Once I’m that far I’m able to go through and make settings adjustments in the Edit menu and the entries show up in a field below the menu bar with the other text. BUT that’s it!!! Once I press “ok” the appearance of the software never changes. It has never shown the configuration like is on the examples in the instructions, with a field on the left that has local PC files and a field on the right that has the files on the server. Also, Once I closed the downloaded program, I can’t open it again. A sign comes up saying quote > “ FileZilla Server has stopped working, a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.” < end quote. Of course… No body has notified me of anything! Something is wrong but I have know idea what. Can anyone PLEASE help me set up FileZilla FTP on my laptop?
thank you…. Paul
