    Hey guys,

I am new to WordPress, so I apologize in advance if this question might seem stupid.

I installed ComicPress theme and Comic Easel, but can’t get the comic to display on homepage.
I followed the youtube tutorial and did everything that’s done in the video, but it didn’t work.
Then I noticed you must integrate the command into index and single files and I tried doing that, but I am not sure if I pasted it in correct location as it didn’t work.
I noticed youtube tutorial doesn’t include this part so I don’t know if it’s even necessary for ComicPress theme.

However when I click “view comic” I can see it, but on a “comics” subpage (which I still have to figure how to add to the main menu).

Any advice would be of great help. 🙂
Sorry again if the question seems a bit stupid.

ComicPress already has it integrated.. Did you activate the plugin? Does it show a comic -> section in the wp-admin?

I thought so. Yes, I activated the plugin, it shows the comic section, I click “add comic” and do everything as in youtube tutorial and the comic doesn’t show up on the homepage.
I am testing my page on WAMP Server, but I think that shouldn’t be a problem. I’ll try reinstalling the theme and plugin during the weekend and I’ll see if it makes any difference. However, I’ve done that before and the results were the same. :/

actually that might be the problem, view-source of the page and check if there’s the div id=”comic” in there on the home page, if there is find the img src=” line and look at the url to what it gives, paste it in your browser alone and see what comes up

if there is no id=”comic” verify in the comic->config -> default [tab] that you don’t have it disabled from appearing on the home page

If I view-source of the homepage there is no id=”comic” or img src. I checked the configuration and comics are able to appear on the homepage.

Then I went to view comic directly from the edit comic site. Below is the URL I get and the img src which leads to the correct picture.

    http://localhost/wordpress/index.php/comic/sample-comic/

    <div id=”comic”>
    <img src=”http://localhost/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Adventure-Time.jpg&#8221; alt=”Sample comic” title=”Sample comic” /> </div>

Are you able to see the media, in add media ?

and really sorry here, i’m not a WAMP user so there’s not much I really can do; cause the code itself for displaying uses standard wordpress function calls for featured image

Yes, I can see the media and the featured image. The comic displays as it should under the URL I mentioned above. Maybe it’s really just WAMP. I have to get a domain soon in any case, so I’ll try again when I get one and inform you about the results. 🙂

Well if it’s a test site you’re needing, i’ would be happy to create one for ya.

Thanks for the offer, but as I need my comic travel blog to be online in about a month I might as well get a domain now and start creating the site. 🙂

It was WAMP, I bouch my domain now and Comic Easel works fine! 🙂
