Can't get a new page to be the home page

    I am currently using the D5 Design theme for the following website http://www.shift-mediagroup.com.

    I have tried to make the “Shift Media” page which is the first button within my navigation my home page by going into the setting and clicking on reading and selecting front page displays a static page and selecting that certain page, but the current home page within this theme that has no content within it always comes up no matter what page I select as the home page.

    I need help to find out if there is something in this theme that I need to change in order for a certain page to come up as the home page.

    You can use Plugin for ordering your posts. There are many Plugins in WordPress repository which can do this.

    I am not having trouble ordering my posts, I cannot get a certain page that I created to replace the home page on my site.

    I tried the steps that I described above and the front page of the D5 Design wordpress theme is still showing up as the front page and not the page I have selected.

    Is there any other way to have a specific page show up as the inital home page of my site?
