[resolved] Can't find pages that are supposedly there! (4 posts)

I am using WebSite Auditor to improve SEO. When I run the site audit tool, it tells me there are some pages with broken links. These are pages I have deleted in the past. I have emptied the trash as well, so I thought the pages would be gone. One of them is an "about" page. Since the software is detecting the page, it must be there somewhere. Does anyone know how to go about finding these pages that don't show up under menu or pages in wordpress? I am only mildly computer literate, so feel free to dumb down any advice you might have....My site is http://www.lawrencejennifer.com/

I would send a screenshot, but I don't know how to add it to this post...

  2. Hi there, while this isn't a theme-specific problem I can understand it must be frustrating.

What's the URL of the old About page the tool is detecting?

I would send a screenshot, but I don't know how to add it to this post...

You can upload the screenshot - in a graphic format like JPG, PNG, or PDF - in your Media Library, and provide a link so I can see it, or upload it with a service like Imgur.

  4. Hi there, I'm not sure why your tool is still detecting those pages, but I used this tool to confirm that those two examples are sending the correct 404 not found headers.

You might want to contact support for the tool you're using to see if they can help you figure out where it's picking up links to those pages. Good luck!
