I installed this plugin and it is connected via API. However it cannot find my list (now called audience) in Mailchimp. I have tried clearing the cache as suggested.

Error message: No Mailchimp lists found. Head over to Mailchimp.com to setup your first mailing list. Once thats done you can head back here to customize it!

    Hi @healthymamashouse,

Sorry for the issue. I think this could be one of three things.

First, tour IP address could be blocked by MailChimp. This is the most common reason for the error; MailChimp will block you (via a service called Akamai) if your IP address has been responsible for malicious things like spam. This happens the most in shared hosting environments where other websites share an IP address with you. It doesn’t mean that you were responsible for the malicious behavior but rather that someone else was using your current IP address and now it is compromised. To resolve this, get in touch with your server team and ask them to change you to a new IP address.

Second, there is another layer of cache on your site that needs to be cleared. Do you have any caching plugins that could be adding an additional layer of cache?

Lastly, there could be a problem with your server communicating with Mailchimp’s API.

One thing you could is to turn on debugging in our plugin, go to the lists page, and then see if anything was logged to the error log. Here are the instructions for turning on debugging: https://yikesplugins.com/support/knowledge-base/debug-settings/.

    Hope that helps.

    All the best,
    Kevin.

I too can not find my lists. I have cleared call Caches that I am aware of and Pasted my API code once again. I have turned on debugging and nothing is noted. I mostly work from home and believe My IP would be tagged with malicious behavior.

    Help.

    Hi @person1,

It’s not that it’s your home IP address being flagged with malicious behavior; it’s your website’s IP address. We’re hoping to add a feature to the plugin so users will know whether they’re being blocked. Let me know if you’d like to help us build that feature by testing your website’s connectivity.

    Thank you,
    Kevin.

    Hi @yikesitskevin

so i just contacted my site host and they wanted me to pay for dedicated IP address, which i will not do at this time. is this a normal thing? any other ideas? if this is the case then I may have to stop using mailchimp and find other solutions.

    Hi @person1,

Most hosts will change your IP for you for no charge – was that mentioned at all? Would you like us to look into your site further to make sure that this is the problem?

    Let me know.

    Thank you,
    Kevin.

When I asked tech support about changing IPs they said I could change to a dedicated IP for a cost. I’m that’s the result of not talking to the right person. I would like it if you could look into my site and help me figure it out.
