    Hi,
I posted on WordPress generic support forum the following topic.

Like others, I don’t really want the “tracking” URL suffix on my site. Telemo.co.uk. See for example: http://telemo.co.uk/wordpress_f/?p=1
Previous answers have said “To get rid of the url suffix, just uncheck the option ‘address bar shares’ in the advanced menu, of AddThis settings”.

My problem is I can’t find AddThis settings.

I don’t know that I want tracking on, I just want people to see a “pretty” URL for the main page.

I am also just a “blogger” not an IT person so the simplest possible terminology in the answer please!

    Hi telemomartin_pki67rvu.

I’m not sure if this is what you mean, but the AddThis plugin has an option to append a unique identifier to your URL every time it loads in order to track manual address bar copy and paste types shares of your URL. This turns a URL like
    http://www.addthis.com/blog/
    into
    http://www.addthis.com/blog/#.VW9TRlnBzRY

In the 5.0 version of the plugin, you can turn this off in the Advanced Options tab of the plugin’s settings, in the Tracking section. To do this, uncheck the box next to Address bar shares and save your changes.

If I’ve misunderstood the issue you’re having or this doesn’t work for you, please feel free reach out to us and let us know what we can do to help.
