I can’t even comprehend the installation instructions! I have a text editor, and have hosting with godaddy with my own domain name. I use wordpress.com now, but am clueless as to how to install wordpress.org. I’ve read the instructions several times, and even got to opening the text editor to start, but I’m afraid of continuing. What is my wordpress “database”? Please help!!

I n that case I would use the install script at godaddy for installing wordpress

The hosts I’ve installed WordPress on have all had an option to create a MySQL database in the hosting control panel. If you can find that and create a database, then hopefully it should fall into place.

Yes, Godaddy has very complex control panel 🙂

dont worry. search somewhere in the control panel for MySQL database, and create one. Then create a username and assign a password. Then just follow the instructions by wordpress..

If you cant, consult Godaddy support, they are very good at that..
