# Can't enable comments

 * I had to disable comments a while ago due to a spam attack and now I want to 
   re-enable them and it’s not happening. I tried changing themes but no go. What
   happened? It says at the bottom of posts Comments or closed or nothing on my 
   current theme MH Magazine lite.
 * Any ideas?

 * Have you tried re-enabling them on a post-by-post basis? When you toggle the 
   global ‘Allow people to post comments on new articles’ check-box, it toggles 
   them for future posts only. Try `Posts > All Posts > Quick Edit` to enable comments
   per post and see if it helps.

 * I’ve tried everything. Although I think it might have returned to normal right
   after I posted my message. Weird! Ghosts in the machine.

 * Good. Maybe you fixed it but had a caching issue and didn’t see results right
   away.

 * Could be. I use IE when I think there’s a cache issue since I don’t use IE. 🙂
