# Can’t Edit Themes

 * I am trying to edit my templates; however, there is no button to save my changes.
   I was told to tell my website host to set all the files plus the themes folder
   to 775 via permissions. They did this, but I still can’t save anything that I
   edit. Thanks.

 * I have the same problem , but 777 is dangerous, is there any other solutions?

 * You only need to use 777 while editing the files. Alternatively, you could use
   [an FTP or SFTP client](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients) and [a plain text editor](http://codex.wordpress.org/Glossary#Text_editor)
   to edit the files remotely.
