• Hello, all.

Every since I switched to 2.6, I’ve noticed that my Incoming Links have stopped updating. I found a post in the forums that talked about switching back to the Technorati blogsearch engine, rather than the Google one, and decided to try that.

Long story short, nothing has changed. I didn’t end up being able to switch back to Technorati, because the ‘edit’ button on my dashboard Incoming Links box does not save anything I do. I’m using the WordPress.com stat plugin, BTW, but everything was working before.

A forum search on this issue brought me another post (that I cannot find now)that seems to imply that there’s something going on with the way 2.6 sends out an ‘updated’ ping.

    Anyone have any thoughts?

  • That edit option doesnt work for me either – maybe it is fixed in 2.61? I havent upgraded yet pending Cpanel updating

That does suck on the dashboard

But anyway, you can view the same information in your WordPress.Com blog stats plugin info. They call it “referrer”, same idea as incoming links

I just updated my site to 2.6.1 and the Incoming Links URL still didn’t save any changes.
