My site doesn’t seem to allow me to edit my pages. The home page can be edited, but I can’t edit the submenu pages. Doesn’t work with going to the page and clicking edit, as it takes me to the home page? I would appreciate any help. Where is the option the be able to edit my submenu pages.

    Hi @suzzyq458 ,

For gutenverse navigation menu, you need to setup the menu first from dashboard Appearance->Menu.
In there you can setup and create menu and submenu.
Let us know if you still have any question.

    Thank you.

    Hi @suzzyq458 ,

Can you send us the screenshot of this issue?
Also clicking the menu when editing send you to the homepage, correct? or did we misunderstand that?

    Hi @suzzyq458 ,

You can add screenshot using public image sites such as imgur.com or prnt.sc, then paste the link here.

In all screenshots and demos of Zeever, the menu contain Home, About us, Services, Projects and Contact items.
When I install the Theme (have tried different sources) , always the latest 1.0.5 version, the menu contain only the sample page that is empty of course.
Why I do not have the normal menu that appear in the demos, after installing the theme, but I have only empty menu?

    Hi @vaggita ,

You need to create menu from dashboard Appearance -> Menus.
If that’s your first menu, the template will use that menu after you created it.

Let us know if you still have any question.

    Thank you.

    Thank you for your reply.
I have created the menu from Appearance -> Menus, but there were available only “Sample Page” pages to add. So, no Service page as I saw it in the Demo.
I have resolved the enigma later: I had to make first “Add new Page” and use the Theme’s template “service” during that page creation. After that, “Service” appears in the menu automatically…
I suppose (hope) it’s only the beginning that breaks the nerves such way by editing the same page from so many different places: Edit, Customize, Dashboard (many places) and eventual plugins specific menus.

Still havnt got this sorted. This is my last try.
If i go to edit site (Button) on my home page I can edit the home page simple. If i am on another page in my site and click on edit Site, It diverts me to my home page for editing. I need the edit site button to stop redirecting me. I want to edit and stay on the page I am on. Getting very frustrated. I’m not sure how more simple I can put this.
This is the link https://ibb.co/hswm6q9 a second before me pushing the edit site (Button) on the page I need to edit.
Once I press the button it redirects me to my Home page and opens the editor on the home page, NOT the page I wanted??

    Hi @vaggita ,

Yes, you need to create new pages and assign the templates to each page.
And then after that, you will be able to create menu using those pages.

    Hi @suzzyq458 ,

Unfortunately that’s how WordPress full site editor works at the moment.
The “Edit Site” button will redirect you to the full site editor which load home page as its first template.
You can try give this feedback & suggestion directly to WordPress/Gutenberg.
And also, we will try if we could provide the solution directly from our plugin.

    Hi,

I have the same problem as suzzyq458 (@suzzyq458). The user explained perfectly and clearly the problem. From your answers it seems that you haven’t understood where is the problem. I havent seen any answer and I dont’t know if the problem is solved.
No page except the Home Page can be edited.
    This cannot be normal.
I have well created the pages in the menus. I see them correctly in the menus and in the site.
I have well edited and created the HP.
If I try to edit any other page of my site (apart the HP) clicking EDIT, it directs me in seconds at the HP without being able to do anything.
I need to stay in the Page to edit it and not to be redirected at the HP.
    Please assist.

    Hello @marilou308 & @suzzyq458

I will try to answer your questions, and please read all carefully.

I think there are few things to be understood, here @suzzyq458 mentioned :

If i go to edit site (Button) on my home page I can edit the home page simple.

    and then

If i am on another page in my site and click on edit Site, It diverts me to my home page for editing.

With a screenshot sent here that makes it clear what the issue is : https://imgbb.com/hswm6q9

And then the reply from @jegstudio mentioned

The “Edit Site” button will redirect you to the full site editor which load home page as its first template.

Perhaps the explanation is not detailed enough.
What this means, no matter what pages you are on, the “Edit Site” button will redirect to the homepage.
Yes, that is correct because that’s how WordPress work at the moment.
This is not specific issue from Gutenverse, if you try deactivate the plugin and switch theme to Twenty Twenty Two you will get the same result, it will redirect you to homepage again.

If all the above is not the issue and there is still misunderstanding, then please elaborate the issue further.

Even though this is not issue from plugin. We will try to provide solution if possible, but please be patient for a while.

    Best Regards. 🙂

    Hello @marilou308 & @suzzyq458

With the new Gutenverse update version 1.4.0, we’ve added this new feature. 🙂
You now can edit the template of the current page you’re on without being redirected to front page template.
On the page toolbar, you can click on Gutenverse -> Edit Template:(template name) and it will redirect you to that template.
Here is a screenshot of the button interaction : https://ibb.co/XZvMfSj

If you like this update, please let us know by leaving a review and feedback.
    We really appreciate it.

I will close this topic for now.

    Thank you.
