# Can’t edit posts?

 * Hey guys,
 * I updated to the next version of wordpress on my blog, and suddenly I can’t edit
   any posts. I can type in my edits, but when I click “update post”, I get a blank
   screen with this error:
 * Fatal error: Call to undefined method HeadSpace2::_weak_escape() in /home/rocksta9/
   public_html/theblog/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 487
 * Help??

 * I am having the same problem too.
    The weird thing is, there are some posts which
   I can edit and there are others which I cannot. Usually its the ‘older’ posts
   I can’t.

 * 1568rich, try decativating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate
   each one individually until you find the cause.
 * If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Default theme (WordPress
   2.9) or the Twenty Ten theme (WordPress 3.0) to rule-out a theme-specific issue.
 * If neither of those work, please start your own topic.

 * I am having the same problem. I cannot edit ANY of my posts. I keep getting an
   blank error page on both Mozilla and Explorer. I also cannot get to my plug ins
   because that is a blank screen as well.
 * Please help as have been trying to edit my posts for a while now.

 * treniatoday, try [resetting your plugins](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F).
   If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the
   cause.
 * If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via [FTP or SFTP](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients),
   navigate to `/wp-content/themes/` and rename everything **except** the `/twentyten/`
   directory. This will force the Twenty Ten theme to activate and hopefully rule-
   out a theme-specific issue.
 * If neither of those work, please start your own topic.
