I have the same problem… Help!
Same problem here, under Firefox and Chrome. Very unusual… only noticed it today…
(it does work when I change the slug in “quick edit”)
did you all check and confirmed that all server files permissions are fine? When creating permalinks typically WordPress would write a .htaccess file to the root of the website.
I did try and change permalinks for posts, and that works fine. So I am guessing permissions should be fine? Or actually, could be /%category%/ is set differently than the root folder… What permissions would you recommend?
Thanks!
If it works for posts then permissions are fine. So what are you trying to do, /%category%/%post% ?
I noticed if I change my theme to default all starts to work just fine, so the template I made a mistake somewhere while adjusting the template Ive been working on … but how to find the source of my problem, no idea…
just to update – it’s not only about the permalinks, but also tags editing and categories management (adding new) via edit mode. I can only do it form my posts list
I see.. Well the theme should only be used to change the layout of the website (technically speaking). Can you give us the URL of the website with the Not working theme enabled?
Can you point me to some non working links? At this stage all links seem to be working, no?
just to clarify
it’s not only about not working permalinks, but about the tags, categories and permalinks editing (impossible) via post edit mode i the cms
so links are working, you are right, I just cant see nor edit some of the data while posts editing and I can only do that over the post’s list quick edit option
och, and I almost forgot the most annoying part – I can’t add links via visual mode when editing my content… everytime I have to copy/paste or write all links, alts, titles and so on…
Might have found a solution… might have.. delicious, are you using Advanced Custom Fields? If so, try deactivating it, that’s what made it all work for me again.
If you don’t use it, try and deactivate your active plugins, one by one, and always check in between if it doesn’t start working again.
Hope it helps 😉

All-In-One Calendar was responsible!
Thank you bisi for your great advice. Now I have to find another event’s calendar. Good news I guess, since I wasn’t able to merge aio tags within wp cloud tags anyway.
Cheers!
