# Can't edit fields

 * I am trying to make an edit to a field, and upon clicking ‘Update Fields’ nothing
   occurs. This is my first time trying after the upgrade to 3.9.1

 * Okay, I just removed 10 fields, and now updates work…I’m not sure why.
 * I would like to have 60 fields that are editable; is this possible? How?

 * There is no limit to the number of fields you can have, so that’s not the issue.
   I can only assume there was a bad field name in there somewhere, although that
   shouldn’t be possible. When you create new fields, you can start with a simple,
   unique name. Don’t use punctuation or anything like that, and dan’t start the
   name with a numeral. After the fields have been created, you can change the titles(
   which is what is displayed on the site) to anything you want.

 * That may have been the issue.
    Another possible solution was my increasing the
   length of the lists from 40 to 60.
