Support » Plugin: PowerPress Podcasting plugin by Blubrry » Cant edit feed title (podpress migration)

  • WERU-FM Community Radio has an archive of public affairs shows at archives.weru.org. This is a WordPress site currently running podPress. I have replicated the site at archives.weru.org/test and tried a migration to PowerPress there (I am also having troubles with the audio player not displaying in lists of posts although it does display on single posts).

    I am trying to resolve iTunes Directory rejecting podcast submissions, especially of the Democracy Forum feed. Apple rejects the submission, reporting the title is too long “Democracy Forum – WERU 89.9 FM Blue Hill, Maine Local News and Public Affairs Archives” (should be just “Democracy Forum”). I have tried editing this in podPress Category settings and in PowerPress Category settings. I checked PowerPress Podcasting SEO (though this seems to refer to episode titles, not feed title). I tried creating a FeedBurner feed (http://feeds.feedburner.com/WERUDemocracyForum). I tried the Import PodPress Settings link. I tried the Import PodPress Episodes link and received a blank page with the error: “Error thrown
    Call to undefined function est_attr()”

    I do get a warning from Blubrry diagnostics:
    Warning

    You are using 0% (60.7M of 268435456M) of available memory.

    Any help you could offer would be much appreciated.

    Hello @alagahd,

    Thanks for using PowerPress!

    Are you running both PodPress and PowerPress currently? As long as PodPress is enabled PowerPress will not work, it defers features to PodPress since it is still enabled.

    The est_attr error is an error in PowerPress, it will be fixed in the next release. Please let me know if you cannot wait until the next release, i can reply with the URL to the zip so you can install it sooner than later.

    The esc_attr occurs when there was an error decoding the3 PodPress data.

    Can you tell me which version of PodPress are you migrating from?

    Thanks,
    Angelo
