Can’t drag and drop widgets (Add and Edit links)

  • All of a sudden one of my blogs (WP 2.9.2) won’t let me drag and drop widgets. The widgets have Add and Edit links instead. I’m running a StudioPress theme and have no active plugins. The same theme installed elsewhere works fine and I can drag and drop just fine.

Can someone please help me know how to start troubleshooting this issue? Other threads I’ve read suggested a conflict with a plugin, but since I don’t have any plugins active (not even installed other than akismet and hello dolly), I’m not sure what to check next.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi,

    Check with these options:

    – Disable all the plugins and enable to one by one to find out the culprit.

    – From wordpress admin area -> Appearance-> Widgets under Screen options, try the Enable Accessibility Mode.

    – Delete or refresh the browser cache.

    Thanks,

    Shane G.
