Can’t delete WooCommerce 6.9.4

Installed the WooCommerce plugin a year ago and used it temporarily. Something in it is corrupt (problems started after a prompt to update tables like here). When I activate it, I get a critical error on my site. Deleting and reinstalling it thru the plugins page does not change this.

I’m willing to delete all WC content, and start over completely from scratch, so I’ve added the line: define( ‘WC_REMOVE_ALL_DATA’, true ); to my wp-config file (as recommended by WC) and tried deleting the plugin and all associated files–but I get an error, saying it cannot delete.

Since WooCommerce content is not just stored in the Plugins folder, I’m not sure how else to go about starting fresh. I esp want to scrub my tables of any content, since that might be the culprit. Any advice would be helpful.

I understand that you cannot delete the WooCommerce plugin on your site and receive an error that it cannot be deleted.

Can you please share the following below?

– System Status Report under WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

This issue is documented on the Action Scheduler GitHub page and related to an internal database migration and missing tables.

Since you’ve mentioned above that you’ve tried to remove all data, this may have caused the issue here.

Can you please try the provided solutions on the Github thread above and see if this works? Then, please try to deactivate and delete the WooCommerce plugin again.

Thank you, I added the above code to the theme’s functions.php file. I was then able to delete the plugin–at first it gave an error, but the next day it was gone from the Plugins page. I did a fresh install of WooCommerce and was working through the Setup Wizard when I received another fatal error email:
