Can’t Delete Plugin

I’ve tried everything – no matter what I do it won’t let me delete this plugin. I always get

Same here. Unable to remove it no matter what. WP critical error.

I am sorry again for the trouble. We have released a new update for the plugin – version 1.1.7. This includes the fix for the issue where the plugin can’t be deleted. Please update your plugin and check if the issue persists.

Well, just tried with 1.1.7 and we get the same error. No change here. We also tried to download, overwrite and install it again then remove. Same story – Critical error…. So much hassle to remove a plugin.
Also, if you try to download this plugin following the on your website here Easy Post Types: Free WordPress Custom Post Type Plugin (barn2.com) that takes you to another plugin when you click on Get it Free https://wordpress.org/plugins/better-recent-comments/

Hi @westmind, thanks for the update. I apologize, the fix that was released does not to not work on certain specific scenarios. We are now working on a solution to be included in the next version. We’re also correcting the links in the plugin pages on the website.
We take QC seriously. Though admittedly there are situations where things slip through the cracks. These past instances are taken into account and we are continuously working on improving. Thank you for understanding. – CarlWe encounter the same issue of not able to delete the plugin Easy Post Types and Fields too. Please advise when you have the solution. Thanks.

I’m sorry to hear you’re having similar difficulty with deleting the plugin. Thanks for letting us know so we can help.
We’ve identified the issue and will include the fix in the next release.
In the meantime, we’ve added it to a hotfix version that you can download from this link: https://we.tl/t-iWK5sjtbqt (available for the next 7 days). Please could you install this on your site as you would a new plugin, then overwrite the current/existing version when prompted.
Once you have done so, you should then be able to deactivate and delete the plugin as expected.

I am glad to inform you that the fix for this issue is included in the new version that was released a few days ago – version 1.1.8. You should now be able to deactivate and delete the plugin from your WordPress admin area.

We had to remove it from the plugin folder and DB by hand.
It is still not able to be deleted from the WP dashboard, even with version 1.1.8. We have to remove the entire plugin files from the plugin folder manually.
