# Can’t delete plugin

 * I cannot delete the WP Job Manager plugin. I’ve tried several times over the 
   last year (with various WP and other plugin upgrades.) Each time, it hangs on“
   Deleting…” for hours. At the same time, it deactivates another plugin I have,
   called All In One Event Calendar.
 * When I rename the Wp Job Manager directory via FTP, everything continues to function
   normally, but I’d like to completely get rid of it.
 * Obviously the WP Job Manager plugin installed other files in the database.
 * Meanwhile, I have simply left the Wp Job Manager plugin deactivated. But it clutters
   up my dashboard and FTP.
 * Can you advise on how to fully remove/uninstall the plugin manually?

 * Hi [@jillpearson](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jillpearson/) that is a
   bit odd that the deletion will not work in wp-admin. You can just delete the 
   plugin in the plugins/ folder via FTP and that should be enough.

 * Hi, Jonryan. I tried one more time deleting the directory via FTP, and this time
   no problems. Whichever plugin was conflicting or sharing files must have since
   been updated, and this time it deleted fine.
