After pressing the [Delete] button to the right of a page counter, it states, “The page “…” has been deleted from your page counters records.” But the counter does not disappear. I tried uninstalling and deleting plugin files and reinstalling, but all the old counters are still there. How can I clear out these old useless page counters? Is there a way to do this in cPanel by editing the WP database without breaking everything? Or is there another way???

After deleting the counter, also remove the short code on your posts or pages. If you don’t remove the short code on your pages and posts, then the next time someone or you visit the post with the shortcode, there will be a new count with a new entry on the database.

In your database table, there are two tables whtp_hits and whtp_hitinfo where you can delete the records, but this will not help if you still have the shortcode in your pages/posts. So make sure you also remove the shortcode in your pages.

Start by removing the shortcode before deleting, then it will be fine.
