Support » Plugin: Photo Gallery by 10Web - Mobile-Friendly Image Gallery » Can’t deactivate plugin without giving them your URL and email

  • When you attempt to deactivate the plugin, and try and click ‘skip and deactivate’ when it gives you the option to select your reason for deactivating, nothing happens. The ONLY way you can deactivate the plugin is if you check a box agreeing to have your URL and email address sent to them.

I tried two different (fresh) browsers on two different computers and had the same problem, which leads me to believe this is intentional on the part of the developers.

I had to go into FTP to get rid of the plugin.

I have never, in all the years I’ve been using WordPress, been prevented from deactivating a plugin.

Also, in the developer section in the plugin list it just says ‘Photo Gallery’, NOT 10 Web, but when you click on the plugin information it goes to 10 Web. I almost wonder if they don’t want you to know who created it when you are trying unsuccessfully to uninstall it from your admin.

Note: NO masonry grid without paying for the premium version.

Lastly, $60 for a photo gallery plugin??

I bought a fantastic one last night from Envato for half the price, and it does three times as much.

    Hard pass on this.

Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry for your bad experience with our plugin, however, we would like to clarify some points.

First of all, we want to mention that we do not limit the deactivation of the plugin. If you have encountered a problem with it, it can only be a custom case. We have tested the deactivation process again and didn’t find any problem connected with it.

Second, all the links of Photo Gallery plugin in lead to 10Web, hence we don’t try to hide its origin as you mentioned.

    Thank you!

    Have a nice day!
