• Updated to 6.2.7 today and since doing so I can’t deactivate any plugins on my site. Wordfence was the only thing updated today and prior to the update (e.g. even minutes before) I was able to deactivate plugins just fine.

Clicking deactivate refreshes the plugins page (and deactivating Wordfence sends me the “Wordfence has been deactivated” email), but the plugins still show as active and are still functional.

Was there something in the update that could possibly be causing this?

Addendum: Manually removing the Wordfence directory from wp-content/plugins has allowed me to deactivate/activate plugins as normal.

    Hi Chris,

Sorry to hear you’re having this trouble — I’ve confirmed on a few sites that I can still activate/deactivate other plugins with version 6.2.7 without any issues.

Do you see anything in the site’s error logs? You can find links to the error logs on most sites near the bottom of the Diagnostics page on the Wordfence menu. (Some hosts disable error logs, so you may not find any, or they may be available separately in your host’s control panel.)

Also, did you have any other plugins that you updated on the same day?
