• I’ve been creating new users for the life of my site (http://nmpolitics.net) when I need new posts to have different authors of articles. I just upgraded to WordPress 3.0. Today I tried to create my first user in 3.0, and it won’t let me. I get this error message:

“Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /home3/nmpoliti/public_html/index/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 2772”

I checked, and my settings are still set up to allow my e-mail address multiple users. Any ideas?

I was able to create the user with an e-mail address no other users were using… but I still need to be able to create users with the e-mail address I have set up to allow multiple users under.

The exact same problem I’m having… in ALL ways!
I’m wondering if I may have a conflict between plug-ins… I’m using both the “Register Plus” plug-in and the “Registered Users Only” plug-in. RUO allows multiple visitors to register using the same email address… a feature I use often for testing my site… I’d hate to lose that option. Well, haussamen, you’ve been waiting 3 weeks. Sorry I don’t have the answer yet but here’s hoping someone else will catch this!
