Can’t connect using FTP Client

    I’ve been trying to add plugins, but I’m unable to login with my FTP Client. When I try on port 21, I get a “Error 11004 (Valid name, no data record of requested type) finding address for host” error message. Then other times I try and it automatically tries port 80 and I get this message :

    “Requesting http://whatthe.blogetery.com
    HTTP/1.1 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable
    Server: nginx/0.5.33
    Date: Tue, 18 Dec 2007 00:12:53 GMT
    Content-Type: text/html
    Connection: close
    Retry-After: 36000

    Error retrieving file.
    Data Connection closed”

    What am I doing wrong?

    Firstly, this isnt a wordpress or a wordpress plugin issue 🙂

    Second, you do not connect to addresses that begin with http:// with an ftp client.

    Get the correct ftp info from your hosting provider.
