can't connect to local host 8080

  • Hi,
I installed wp locally via bitnami on Sunday. Had no problems. Today when I try to sign on it says it can’t make a connection to local port. I do not have any firewalls blocking it.

I am totally lost. Can anyone direct me to a page on how to resolve problems connecting to and signing on to a local server?

    Thank you
    Amy

  • Are both the Apache Web Server and MySQL Database running?

Check the Application Manager > Manage Servers tab to make sure. If they are, try Restart All.

Thank you for your response, but I so new to this that when I tried to follow application manager > Manage servers it did not work. There are a few more files inbetween.

Here is the like to bitnami’s documentation where I found my answer. I am posting this in hopes to help some other uninformed soul like me!

Again thank you so much for trying. I used the link above and was able to establish a connection again. Amy

oh wow ! it made the sentence a link. Here is the real link
