Can’t compare backuped versions
-
Sometimes I have been getting notices that tell me there is a saved backup version of a page I start to edit, but I can no longer look at the saved version to compare. The message has a Restore button to supposedly bring back the saved backup. I take a gamble because I can’t see what it might look like but it just refreshes the page and shows me the same information on the page. There used to be a link to compare different versions. The message also says
“You can use undo and redo in the editor to get the old content back or to return to the restored version.” but where are these buttons or links? They are not in my editor or I have somehow missed seeing them. I checked the Options for the Edit page to see if there was something for saved versions or restore versions that wasn’t selected but there is nothing about that. The backup of this post in your browser is different from the version below. This will replace the current editor content with the last backup version. You can use undo and redo in the editor to get the old content back or to return to the restored version.
