# can't comment out code

 * I’m trying to comment out a line of code:
    <td>[MAY](https://aahmbny.org/Newsletters/HMBArea48-Newsletter-201405.pdf)
   </td> While I temporarily try a new line with a different target url. I used 
   the standard html comment <!– –> tag: <!– <td>[MAY](https://aahmbny.org/Newsletters/HMBArea48-Newsletter-201405.pdf)
   </td> –> But the line still shows up in both visual view and in the change preview.
   Does this not work in WordPress pages?

 * Ni i entered the comment code in the text mode. It was on a page, commenting 
   out a table row.
    For whatever reason, it worked when i tried it again. All fixred.
