Can’t clone Elementor sites since last update | WordPress.org

Since the last Elementor update I’m no longer able to clone Elementor subsites. If I try to open a cloned page I get the message: “Sorry, the content area was not found in your page. You must call the_content function in the current template, in order for Elementor to work on this page.” How can I fix this?

Hi There,

This sounds like an issue with Elementor. Have you reached out to their support as well? Cloner will ONLY copy what’s in the WordPress database, so if Elementor is storing data in flat files it will not copy.
