cant change theme

    i just downloaded and installed the latest version of wordpress on my site and it seems to work but for soem reason i cannot change my theme.

    when i click a new theme it takes me to a page that says:
    are you sure you want to change to this theme: “freely”

    and if i click yes, it takes me to another screen that says:
    Are you sure you you want to change to this theme “”

    and if i click yes, nothing happens, if i click no it takes me back to the first prompt.

    whats going on here?

    can anyine comment on this? this very frustrting and unless i can get the themes working – wordpress will be useless to me.

    hm…that’s weird.
    In the presentation option, when you click a new theme (not current theme), it just updates current theme. Never ask me “do you want xxx…?” question.

    i also just tried to import my blog from blogger and it takes me to the google page to authorize access to my account then when i click Grant Access, it takes me back to a wordpress page that says:

    Could not connect to https://www.google.com
    There was a problem opening a secure connection to Google. This is what went wrong:
    The operation completed successfully.

    I have had a similar problem with editing posts and such. This may not help at all, but try disabling javascript (say, via the NoScript plugin), refreshing the page, and trying again.

    Good luck, I’m having theme issues with v2.2 as well.

    i ended up uninstalling wordpress and installing version 2.1 and now it works. but i am afraid to upgrade to 2.2 now that i have 2.1 working.
