Can’t change text alignment

My layout – which has now gone into ‘All Layouts (old)’ – has an ‘Excerpt read more’ section with text alignment set to ‘left’. Recent plugin updates have broken this and the text is centered no matter what I choose. I’ve overcome this for the time being with some custom CSS.
