    Hello,

I have one primary domain with 3 add-ons. Each add-on is a WP site.

Before installing SEO Ultimate on one of these add-ons, http://www.woolmill.com, each page displayed only this url structure: http://www.woolmill.com/page/. Now, however, the homepage still displays http://www.woolmill.com but navigating to each subsequent page will display in the browser the address of my primary domain and folder containing the add-on site (www.realityofthemyth.com/jjfarm/products/).

All the tools available to me in the dashboard and SEO Ultimate modules only offer the possibility of changing the urls AFTER the primary domain. My hosting provider suggested I make a change to the .htaccess file, but I see that it has already been modified by SEO Ultimate and I am disinclined to mess with it. What can I do to fix this besides disabling the plug-in?

Well, this depends on which version you have SEO Ultimate installed on. Do you have it installed on the various sub folders? Just trying to clarify?

However, you do have the option to simply disable the “Permanlink Tweaker” module from the SEO modules dashboard (which would not interfere with anything) then use .htaccess rules as your host suggested.

Or, you could even edit your .htaccess in the file editor (but do so with caution). If the sub folders were viewed as categories, then you could simply click the remove category base option in the Permalink Tweaker option, but, not sure why you opted to set up the site this way.

Also, it appears you have some duplicates in the trash as the URL has a -2 on it here – http://www.realityofthemyth.com/jjfarm/products-2/
    http://www.realityofthemyth.com/jjfarm/products-2/
    and here http://www.realityofthemyth.com/jjfarm/contact-and-ordering-2/

    Just something to look into.

If URL structure is that important to you, then go the .htaccess route and simply disable SEO Ultimate’s Permalink Tweaker module.

Hope this helps, since the plugin was not meant to mask sub folders, but rather category bases.

    Hi Jeffrey,

Thanks for your replies — stupidly, I posted here but it turns out it wasn’t a plug-in issue at all! I’ve got it resolved and it was all my fault, nothing to do with SEO Ultimate. I’m back to using all your useful tools once again. Thanks!

No worries. Enjoy SEO Ultimate and all the best.
