Can't change my header color

I installed the theme called Atmosphere 2010. I am trying to change the color of my header from white to black. I know where to customize it, I go under ‘customize’ then ‘site title and tagline’ then I change ‘header text color’ to black, I click “save and publish” and it’s still white. I am able to change anything else but this. I’ve made other changes that work but this change isn’t working. What is going on? The white is hard to read over the white & blue picture!
