I am using display-posts shortcode to generate this page:

    with this code:

    [display-posts category=”yazma-kenarlari” image_size=”thumbnail” wrapper=”div”]

I have 5 posts that are displayed on the page. For some reason, the first 4 of the images that are displayed next to the post titles will not change their size. When I go into settings and change the size for thumbnails, for example, only the image for the latest post changes. The rest stays the same. If I change the code to use a different size image , such as medium, they still stay the same. Is there any way of resetting what the code is doing and generate a fresh page with correct images and sizes?

Using an ftp program I deleted one of the images in order to see if the page would reset that image. However, the image won’t show at all now.

  • I was able to put the missing image back in. However, the size issue still persists.

WordPress generates the image sizes when the image is first uploaded. If you change the dimensions in Settings > Media, that only applies to NEW images you upload – old images remain as-is.

You can use the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin to regenerate some or all images that have already been uploaded.

    It sure worked. Thanks!

I’m having a similar issue with the size of the picture displayed on my page.
    Here is the short code:
    [display-posts category=”firstl” image_size=”thumbnail” include_content=”true” ]
The image that is displayed is the medium size of the 3 that WP generates.
I like the smaller image on the home page but when the user clicks to go to the page to display all images, I want a larger picture to show. If I change the image size to large, shouldn’t that show the larger picture?
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
