Support » Fixing WordPress » Can’t change admin email

  • Hello everyone,

I’m trying to change the email address at /wp-admin/options-general from the default xyz@mysite to abc@someothersite. The text below the field states, “This address is used for admin purposes. If you change this we will send you an email at your new address to confirm it. The new address will not become active until confirmed.”

When I hit ‘save changes’, another text appears below the email field: “There is a pending change of the admin email to abc@someothersite”. However, no email arrives at abc@someothersite. What might be the issue?

    Thanks!

  • Hi, after updating the new email in setting page, don’t forget to confirm your email account on clicking on the link in your email sent to you.

After that it will show the updated email in your wp-admin setting page.

The problem I’m facing is that no confirmation email arrives at the address I supply. I’ve tried multiple email addresses, but the result is the same.

Use SMTP by WPForms plugin – setup
    Settings > wp mail smtp
Select default setting, Check all the checkbox and hit the save button.

Sometimes mail function do not work properly.
