Can't Auto Update from 2.9.2 to 3.0.1

Hi

I’m trying to do an update to my site from 2.9.2 to 3.0.1 using the Automatic update in the Admin panel of WP.

I put in the FTP info, come to a page where it says “Downloading Update from…..” and it gets no further. I’ve tried leaving it for 20 mins and it’s doing nothing.

I would just manually update but I can’t remember what files I changed so I can grab them before uploading 3.0.1. Does anyone have a way to fix the auto update? It’s driving me crazy!!
