  • I got the same issue with version 5.4. There used to be a dropdown box where you can select one of you websites.. Its gone after authentication.

I got the same issue starting today. I’m using today’s latest version 5.4 also.

Same problem, can’t even manually authenticate

Same here, nothing happens. When I contacted Yoast, they sent me to this forum. I have activated this plugin on other sites in the past and never had this authentication issue.

Same problem here – All working fine until I updated. I have de-activated, uninstalled and re-installed and it still does not work.

    Ah, I am not alone…

I have the same problem as well!

Over a week since the first call for help… and no response from the Yoast people???

    Tsk!

    Same here

fresh install just installed ver 5.4 and I have to use manual config

Me too. Had problems with the update. Finally was able to install, but had to use manual config to authenticate my account

We’d love to get some more details about the problem you’re experiencing.
    What browser are you using?
What version of WordPress are you using?
Do you know what version of PHP you’re on?

Please describe anything that could possibly be related as well, so we can track down the cause of this issue and fix the bug.

    Hi all,

We’ve investigated this thread and came up with the following. So far there seem to be three issues:

    1) For most of you the authenticate button seems to no longer be working.
    2) The dropdown list with GA profiles seems to be gone for some.
    3) Selecting the option to submit your UA-code manually seems to be broken.

Problem 1 and 3 have to do with JavaScript not working. You should be able to solve the problem by clearing the browser cache and refreshing the page (maybe a couple of times). Please let me know if this solves your problem.

I think problem 2 is unrelated. After an update, it can happen that the profile list is gone. However, the UA-code should still be there and should be visible in the general settings tab. If you’d like to select another profile, you need to re-authenticate with GA. If I’ve misunderstood the problem, please let me know. If you were unable to authenticate with GA because of the button not working, please try the solution described above.

Omarreiss, thanks for your reply. I have tried your suggestion and had no luck. I have de-activated all caching cleared the cache in the website and browser. I have also tried re-installing the plugin but it still will not authenticate. I have been using the plugin for some time without any problems until I updated. I am also experiencing the same issue on another server with a different website.

Attempting to authenticate does display the “The Google Analytics settings are saved successfully.” message, however the drop down to select the UA number is still not displaying.

    Hi,

    – Firefox or Chrome update
    – WordPress 4.1.1
    – PHP5.5
    – The plugin does not keep in memory the UA-code number.
    – All work with the update on 3 sites at OVH.

    Thank You

I can confirm Zulu11’s message. Admin page shows the confirmation message “The Google Analytics settings are saved….”, but nothing happens.

    Using:

    – Chrome
    – Safari
    – WordPress 4.1.1
    – PHP 5.4 (FastCGI)

    Cheers.
