    Hi,

I created a coupon to test and use on my ecommerce website, but I can’t apply it because it said: Coupon “XXXXX” cannot be applied because it does not exist. But I did create the coupon in marketing —>coupons. Please see the screenshot: https://snipboard.io/uJhRD7.jpg

    Hi @pxmalye,

That’s frustrating when you’ve created the coupon but it’s not being recognized! I also tested and got the same error.

Let me help you troubleshoot this step by step.

    • First, check that coupons are enabled in your WooCommerce settings. Go to WooCommerce → Settings → General and make sure the “Enable coupons” box is checked. If it’s not, enable it and save the changes.
    • Next, take a look at the coupon code itself. Coupon codes shouldn’t contain spaces or special characters; use something like test-coupon instead of test coupon. Also, make sure there are no accidental spaces before or after the code.
    • Then, confirm the coupon’s status. Go to Marketing → Coupons, find your coupon, and make sure it’s published and not in draft mode. Double-check that the usage restrictions or expiration dates aren’t preventing it from being applied.
    • I see you’re using Cloudflare, LiteSpeed, and Alibaba Cloud CDN. Please clear all caches and try applying the coupon again in a private or incognito browser window.
    • Finally, open the coupon and review the settings under the Usage Restriction tab. Make sure your cart meets any minimum spend requirements and that the coupon isn’t limited to specific products or categories that aren’t currently in your cart.
    • Create a test coupon and share a screenshot of it with me so we can test as well.

Let me know what you find after checking these. Looking forward to your response.

    Hi,

It’s working now. But I can’t add a specific product to have a percentage discount. Please see the screenshot: https://snipboard.io/YCcQza.jpg

    Hi @pxmalye,

I’m glad to hear it’s working! It looks like there’s no product with the name tshirt. Could you search with the exact name e.g Winter V-Neck Long Sleeves Loose Solid Sweatshirt or the product ID?

I hope that helps. Let us know if you need anything else.

Even if I typed the product name, it only appeared but the product name couldn’t stick on it. I preapare a link so that you can see: https://www.transfernow.net/dl/20250807lpYOrFXn

    Hi @pxmalye,

Thanks for sharing the screen recording. It was really helpful.

It looks like the product wasn’t selected after the name was typed. You would need to select the product so it would stick. See screencast: https://share.zight.com/Wnunb0EW.

I hope that helps. Let us know if you need anything else.

But my products can’t be selected after the name was typed.

    Hi @pxmalye,

Thanks for the update. I get what you mean now; the search finds the product, but clicking it doesn’t “stick” in the coupon’s Product field.

Let’s isolate what’s blocking the selection:

    1. Switch to the Storefront theme and try adding the product to the coupon again.
    2. If it still won’t select, deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce, then test again.
    3. If it works, reactivate plugins one by one and test after each to find the conflict.
    4. Since you use Cloudflare and LiteSpeed, clear all caches and test in a private browser window at each step.
    5. Quick checks you can try right away: type the exact product ID in the field and press Enter, or try from another browser to rule out an admin-JS conflict.

If the issue persists after the conflict test, please share your System Status Report so we can look deeper. Go to WooCommerce → Status → Get system report, paste it into https://pastebin.com or https://gist.github.com, and send us the link.

Looking forward to your results so we can get this sorted.

I tried all and not working, but when I cleared all caches and test in a private browser window, I can select it. I just couldn’t select the item using Edge or Chrome.

I don’t have an account of https://pastebin.com and https://gist.github.com, but you can see the file at: https://www.transfernow.net/dl/20250808LvCu2Fbk

    Hi there!

Thanks for the update! It sounds like the issue may have been caused by cached data in the browser. Since it works in a private window, this usually means that clearing the browser cache and cookies should resolve it for normal browsing as well.

Could you please try clearing the cache and cookies in Edge or Chrome, then test again? You can also check if any browser extensions are interfering, by temporarily disabling them and retrying.

Please also check if you are using the latest version of Edge or Chrome.

Just to verify — have you tried deactivating all plugins except WooCommerce and checking if you still face the same issue?

    Hi,

I deactivated all the plugins except WooCommerce and still have the same issue. Finally I found that when I deactivated one of the Chrome extension, it worked again. Thanks for the instruction.

    Hi there!

Glad to hear you were able to pinpoint the cause! It’s great that disabling the Chrome extension resolved the issue. If you run into anything else, feel free to reach out anytime.

If you’re happy with the support you received, would you consider leaving us a quick review? It really helps us out: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/reviews/#new-post
